A fine range of square coasters and place mats from reclaimed Welsh and Brazilian slate. All the slate used was intended for use as roof tiles and was bought locally. We treat the slate after cleaning and preparation with olive oil to maintain the quality and colour.
The Slate is finished by hand and the edges hand napped in our workshop by our experienced team of craftswomen.
The wood cutting boards are made from Herefordshire oak from Childer Wood felled by shire horses. It’s dried for five years and it is recommended that the board be a wipe with olive oil from time to time. The Board dimensions are based on the Fibonacci sequence a sequence found in nature giving a more pleasing aesthetic.
